Enjoy a full experience of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Houses of Celio. Start your experience with a 25-minute Multimedia video, which graphically illustrates how Rome today was thousands of years ago in the times of the Roman Empire.

Allow the video to take you back in time to Ancient Rome. You will appreciate this experience when you walk through the ruins of the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill and enter the magnificent Colosseum.

After the video, you will be accompanied by dedicated staff to the entrance of the Roman Forum. After approximately two hours of visiting the Archeological Area, step inside one of the world’s most famous monuments: The Colosseum.

Le Case Romane del Celio (Roman Houses of The Celio) is a very flexible experience, where you will not have entrance times, and will be able to decide with complete autonomy when to go.

Must Know

  • Bring a valid original ID. Photos, copies, or photocopies are not accepted
  • Without valid ID or in case of incorrect personal data, Colosseum access will be denied without any refund
  • For security reasons, all visitors and their bags must be screened
  • Large bags and pets are not allowed

Good to Know

  • Take bus 40 or 64 from Termini Station or 64, 91 or 492 from the Vatican. You can to take the metro B to get to the Colosseum
  • Free admission to all disabled visitors with a certified disability. In case of not self-sufficient, the free voucher is also extended to a companion
  • These admissions cannot be used for school groups, group guided tours, and private guided tours
  • No storage is available onsite
  • Families with children will be escorted to the entrance of the Roman Forum
  • Roman houses of the Celio can be visited at any time except Tuesdays and Thursdays

  • Roman Domus of Celio: Adult (15+):€10 + €2 res fee & Child (6-14):€8 + €2 res fee

On-site usage

  • Arrive 15 mins before your reserved time slot to check in and watch the multimedia video. Do not go directly to the Colosseum
  • Show your mobile voucher to the staff at the touristation office. Look for a small fountain in front of the office with orange flags
  • Meet your guide and collect your tickets at the touristation office
  • Follow the instructions given. Then, proceed to the archaeological complex of the Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill (15-minute walk from the touristation office)
  • Visit the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill on your own before entering the Colosseum (approximately 2 hours after the purchased time slot)
  • No refunds for no shows or latecomers
