The tour includes a visit to a Cameo factory. The Cameo is a typical jewel of Roman times found during the excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii in 1748. In the factory, you can see a craftsman at work, the cameo is a jewel made from shells and precious stones and is hand-engraved by the craftsman. The visit to the factory will allow you to use the bathrooms for free before entering the excavations. So, the stop at the Cameo factory in addition to being informative is essential in terms of managing the visit to the excavations of Pompeii.
